Maintenance Day, Cake Sale and Seed Swap
Sunday 19th May 2019, Jubilee Allotments Association annual seed swap event was combined with a cake sale and a maintenance morning.
We had a great turn out of willing volunteers helping spruce up the communal areas with a lick of paint, a spot of grass cutting, mending the boundary fences and work on the water stations. A group of strong armed helpers even managed to transport a shed from one plot to another!
During the event an information board was placed in the communal area to raise awareness of the proposed relief road, which could potentially go through the middle of our allotment plots. Find out more here
Thank you to all the volunteers who turned up on the day and to those who generously donated cakes and plants to raise funds for maintaining the site. We made a grand total of £101.22 on the day. Minus expenses our Jubilee Allotment Association coffers received £65.23.
